Creating Packages
The New Package page lets you create a package record in your courier system for items received from or for a customer. This information is used for tracking, invoicing, and reporting across the Courier app.
Customer and branch details
Customer: Select an existing customer from the dropdown (required) so the package is linked to the correct account.
Branch (optional): Choose the branch that will handle this package, or leave as “Select branch…” if you do not use branches.
Name on Package: Enter the name that appears on the physical package label for easy identification.
Package type, status, and tracking
Freight Type: Choose how the package will move: Air, Ocean, or Not assigned.
Description: Add a brief description of the package contents for internal reference and customs or client clarity.
Status: Set the current package status (Use default, Delayed, Awaiting Invoice, Paid, Delivered, Arrived at Warehouse, In Transit, Processing by Customs, Ready for Pickup, Picked Up).
Tracking Number: Enter the tracking number associated with the shipment so you can follow its movement.
Date Received: Record the date the package was received using the month/day/year fields or the date picker.
Value, weight, and dimensions
Seller: Note the seller or store the package was purchased from.
Value: Enter the declared monetary value of the package for insurance and customs purposes.
Weight: Record the package weight.
Cubic Feet: Enter the volume if needed for volumetric billing.
Length, Width, Height: Capture the physical dimensions of the package for storage and shipping calculations.
Saving or cancelling a package
When all required fields are completed, click Save to create the package record in the Courier app. To discard changes and return to the package list without saving, click Cancel.
